Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is the second largest car manufacturer and the number one car exporter since its inception in India. The Auto Expo 2016 was phenomenal for this brand since it revealed its HND-14 Carlino sub-4- meter SUV concept at the show. The brand also showcased the Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai i30, Hyundai N 2025 Vision GT concept, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Hyundai Genesis, and powertrain technologies (1L T-GDI Kappa, 1.4L T-GDI Kappa engines and the 7-speed DCT and FF 8-speed automatic transmission).

Solutions

For the Auto Show 2016, the entire pavilion was divided into 12 zones with maximum focus on 4 digital activities set up at the venue. The activities that were organized to ensure the best visitor experience were Unlock a Surprise, 4D Simulator, Mind Racing, Time Freeze Selfie. Following is what we did to effectuate online conversations:

  • We used the RFID Technology to enable maximum online conversations about the exciting activities.

  • The content and creative designs were as exciting as the activities to ensure maximum sharing. #ExperienceHyundai was buzzing around all Social Platforms.

  • The digital engagement with the users made the pavilion one of the most successful in Auto Expo 2016.

  • Hyundai India won the ‘Most Interactive Display Award’ for the 4 digital activities.

  • We created a series of videos for the brand right from its conceptualization and production to its packaging from the Hyundai pavilion for the users who could not make it to the Auto Expo.

  • We also engaged the current customer base with a sub-campaign #MyNextHyundai.

Sizeable number of new followers and new fans increased on Hyundai’s social media platforms. Hashtags #ExperienceHyundai & #HyundaiTucson trended on Twitter on multiple occasions, and Hyundai India recorded maximum conversations, making it one of the most talked-about brands during Auto Expo. The happy Hyundai owners were also proud to be a part of the campaign #MyNextHyundai.
